About us
Two practices, one shared observation
We are both self-employed, both work with companies, and are often in the same buildings — just on different topics. At some point it became obvious that it is usually the same project.
Petra gets called when a transition inside a team isn't going smoothly. Stefan gets called when a system needs to be built, migrated or repaired. And surprisingly often the story behind it is the same: something was introduced without clarifying what it would mean for people's work.
The sequence is almost always identical. First the technology, then the trouble, and then — if there is budget left — somebody who clears up with the team. That is expensive, late, and unsatisfying for everyone involved.
Minds & Apps turns that around. Both perspectives are in the project from the start, they talk to each other, and they share responsibility for the outcome being not just running but used.
Minds
Petra Kamper
Systemic coach and trainer. Petra guides organisations through processes of change, coaches leaders in decision-making, communication and team leadership, and also works with individuals in psychosocial counselling.
Her work starts where structures and people meet: at the unspoken rules, the old grievances, the roles that were never clarified. She doesn't facilitate around the conflict — she makes it discussable, in a tone in which nobody loses face.
Within Minds & Apps, Petra owns everything to do with people, leadership and communication: the conversations before the project, the facilitation during the transition, and the question of whether the new way of working is genuinely lived.

Apps
Stefan Kirchsteiger
Freelance software developer based in Graz, more than 13 years in IT projects — from concept to operations. His focus areas are Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint, web applications with React and Angular, backends in C#/.NET and Node.js, and AI and chatbot solutions.
His approach is unexcitable: first understand what is needed, then build the simplest thing that does it. No technology zoo, no lock-in to a single vendor — you should be able to keep working with what gets built without him.
Within Minds & Apps, Stefan owns architecture, implementation, migration, integration and the technical training — plus the honest answer about what a project realistically costs.
